Born from the vision and dedication of Dr. Mallur Nagaraj, a proud farmer from the small village of Mallur in Karnataka, Dr. Mallur Nagaraj is a Best Farmer and Doctorate Awardee whose life mission has been to contribute positively to society and mankind.
The Inspiration and Journey
Dr. Mallur Nagaraj’s profound observations on the increasing health issues faced by society—such as diabetes, high blood pressure, gastric, malnutrition, thyroid problems, heart ailments, and digestive disorders compelled him to find a solution. Drawing on his vast experience spanning over 50 years in organic farming and millet cultivation, Dr. Nagaraj embarked on a journey to explore the potential of millets. His travels across the country to attend workshops and conferences on health, millets, particularly those led by the esteemed Dr. B M Hegde and Dr. Khadar Valli, further fueled his passion. This relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation culminated in the creation of Sprouted Siridhanya Millet Malt, making Millet House one of the First pioneers in Karnataka to launch such a product.
Today, Millet House is steered by Mr. Karthik M N, B.E., the Managing Director and son of Dr. Nagaraj. Having been worked as a software engineer in India, USA, Europe, he has come back to India to support his father, promote farmers and sustainable health through millets. Inheriting his father's visionary mindset, Mr. Karthik is committed to the mission of Millet House. He champions the Healthy India Campaign and actively participates in initiatives like the International Year of Millets – 2023. Through social media platforms, he communicates the manifold health benefits of millets and their products in various languages, reaching a diverse audience and helping them to attain natural sustainable health, lifestyle in a very economical way.
